This is is a very nice facility. Very cold as ice should be. Easy access parking. Very nice Pure Hockey Store and Tavern Market with some seating. Fantastic vendor in North Rink area with hot Candied Almonds, Cashews or Pecans. Delicious Thank you for the nice tournament.

It's a great place to take your kids ice skating. They am have a market which has nachos, pretzels, snacks and drinks. They also have a tavern with beer, margaritas and pub food. The ice rink is hockey sized and the tickets are very cheap. Overall a great place for a weekend visit!

Great place to be when it's hot outside. Youth hockey games. The food in the cafe is, well, hockey rink cafe food so not the best, but ok . I have not tried the restaurant. Pro shop seems pretty good.

We love AZ Ice, especially their summer camp, “Skate, Rattle, and Roll.” My girls, ages 8 and 6 have attended two summers in a row and they always have a ball. It’s the perfect combination of planned activities/crafts while also giving the kids enough autonomy to play or relax or get their wiggles out. My girls have always come home happy and exhausted. It’s totally appropriate for beginners too! I love that there is the option to sign up for individual days in case you don’t need camp/child care every day on a week. Morgan Johnston, the guest service supervisor, was wonderful about helping us get a last-minute registration change fixed. Thanks AZ ice

We love it here. The staff is helpful and friendly. We just started the Learn to Skate program and my kid is skating through it with confidence because the staff explains themself well, I’ve even learned a few things just listening and watching. Some times the classes can be a little crowded but never too much where they don’t feel like they’re learning and moving forward. So glad we joined

This is a great spot to escape the heat, especially with the youth hockey games going on. The atmosphere is fun and lively. As for the food, it's your typical hockey rink cafe fare nothing fancy, but it does the job. I haven't tried the restaurant myself, so I can't speak to that, but the pro shop seems solid with a good selection. Overall, it's a nice place to hang out!

We discovered AZ Ice because they are on our Pogo Passes! My kids had never been ice skating before, so we rented those little buddy walker devices at first, but it didn't take them long to get the hang of it! I love how they have public skate times almost every day that we can go to - and that they have plenty of seating for adults who need a rest. Ice skating is a workout! Clean facility with plenty of space to learn. My kids are already asking to go again!

Went on Monday for a public skating. My granddaughter wanted a walker. Went to the counter and the hockey coach suggested that we put her in smaller skates. He gave her some brief instructions and she was skating on her own. Thanks

Our daughter wanted to ice skate and had told me all the plans the night before. We came to this location with our pogo pass at 2.05, just about 25 minutes before public skating will end. Daniel S understood right away, and had the sense of urgency about our situation that he tried to get us settled with skates first, while waiting for the other employee, Nora, to check us in. Appreciate their sense of urgency and being effective in the check in process as well as not making us feeling bad for using pogo pass (while pogo pass is a great value, many places only allow weekday to use the passes. Thank you Az ice Gilbert, especially the 2 awesome front employees Daniel and Nora, for working so effectively.

Two sheets of ice in the middle of the desert, so I'll take it. The ice was nice and no issues skating. As a spectator, the North Pole rink has a heater and is rather comfortable. The South Pole rink is absolutely freezing so be prepared and bring extra layers. There is a nice lobby and snack bar area, with good seating when waiting for games. Overall, we had a good experience over the course of the tournament.

I really loved this place. Being new to AZ getting back on the ice was so important for me. Now I am getting my son and my family out here and do what I love as well. Jamie took excellent care in getting me into a brand new pair of skates. I absolutely love it. We will be regulars here so my kids can learn to skate. But I would recommend this place since the shop is Nice, the staff don't bother much and it's really a great place. Lots of families that were nice to us as well. I really hope they get training bars at some point cause we need my 2 year old and 4 year old to try using those lol.

Very nice facility. In Arizona on vacation from Seattle and we were looking for a place to skate to keep our son’s legs fresh. Ice quality was great and the staff was very friendly. The hockey shop has a nice selection too. Tons of sticks.

We love AZ Ice Gilbert! We have been skating here for 2 years now and have been nothing but happy. I have 3 hockey players and a figure skater. The staff is always friendly and welcoming to my family when ever we come in. Holly Harrington helped develop my new skaters into being fantastic players. I was so glad to hear of her promotion to being the figure skating director because if she continues to teach the way I have seen on the hockey side I know my daughter will finally flourish in figure skating. I saw her on the ice Tuesday with the learn to skate classes and that is the first time I ever saw the figure skating director out on the ice when my daughter was having lessons. I am looking forward to seeing how many wonderful things she will be bringing to figure skating now.

A very nice rink in Gilbert, Arizona. 2 sheets of ice, a great bar (normal bar food, drinks, lots of TV's, and outside patio (covered with sun sails), a market (coffee, breakfast sandwiches, water and gatorades, etc.) and a Pure Hockey store inside. I didn't interact with any of the staff, but the facility was fairly clean and welcoming. The bathrooms were as to be expected for a hockey rink serving youth hockey (in my case, a HS Varsity team). Parking was ample, with lots to the left, right, and right in front. There are also soccer and baseball games going on around the facility on the weekends, so many parents, kiddos, and cars around. Top tip... avoid parking right in front, as all of the parents were standing in the sunshine one the games ended to defrost (the South Pole rink was FREEZING!!!). The North Pole rink wasn't as cold and also provided a seating are outside of the rink with big windows and picnic tables.

I love going to ice skate here! the only problem I have is that there are WAY to many people here sometimes. I also wish that the seating for the south and north pole was heated. Went for the first time on a Saturday with my daughter and the process was easy and everyone was efficient and friendly, no issues. It does get busy on the weekends but we didn't have an issue during the skating. We switched skate sizes a few times and had no issues. It's super cold so glad we brought gloves and our own helmet. Good experience, would go again!

Playing adult hockey at AZ Gilbert Ice Rink has been an amazing experience! The rink is always well-maintained, and the staff does a great job of organizing the leagues and keeping things running smoothly. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just getting back into the game, there’s a spot for you. The level of competition is great, but the atmosphere remains fun and welcoming. The community of players is awesome, and it’s been a blast being a part of it. If you’re looking to play hockey in the area, I highly recommend checking out the adult leagues at AZ Gilbert Ice Rink!

AZ Ice was, well, decent. The good: Plenty of parking both on street and with the nearby garage. Lots of skate supports are available for younger kids who are just getting started. The moderate: It is not a full-size hockey rink so it can get very crowded and the ice was pretty mutilated after two hours of skating. The frustrating: One person working the front desk made check-in feel tedious and slow. The "safety manager" or whatever you call him on the rink may as well have been asleep. There was a LARGE group of individuals standing, taking photos, and blocking traffic and over. And the skates were anything less than comfortable. Definitely be sure to wear thick socks for added comfort. They also charge extra for skate supports for the kids which seems a little ridiculous. Overall: It was great to get back out on the ice after many years, and fun take our younger two kids for the first time. But this place wouldn't be my first choice.

We came on New Year's Eve, when they had a 3 hour public skating session. We first line up on the line on the right to purchase the rental and ticket, then proceed to the line on the left for the skates. We have two different rinks, the public rink is the one on the left. We have a little one, who cannot skate, therefore we also rented the red walker. One hour into the skating, they cleared the rink and level off the ice. The ice was so smooth. It was really nice. It is great that you can just walk around, they were a lot of people, but everybody respectfully stayed a safe distance from you. Their ticket price is super reasonable. May make it an activity every time we are in town.
