Job Description: This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, program check-in and knowledge of our in-house programs! Seeking applicants 18 and older, must be able to work varied shifts, have reliable transportation, and be willing to work in a team setting.

We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year! There are Cashier shifts starting as early as 5:00AM and ending as late as 11:00PM.

Job Description:
This job requires the ability to work with and understand heavy machinery. Candidates will be trained on the operation and daily maintenance of the Zamboni/Olympia. This position is responsible for resurfacing the ice correctly and safely to ensure and maintain acceptable ice conditions. Other job descriptions include keeping all areas of the facility neat and clean at all times by sweeping and mopping the restrooms, locker rooms, lobby, bleachers, etc. As well as opening or closing the building, supervising other staff.

Skills Required:
-Must be at least 18 years old.
-Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
-Must be able to operate heavy machinery.
-Must be able to understand and carry out instructions efficiently and effectively.
-Must be able to multitask.
-Must be highly motivated to learn new skills that are essential to completing daily ice maintenance
-Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as independently
-Must be able to resurface ice sheets on time
-Must be physically capable of lifting heavy objects (Goals are 150lbs).
-Fill in all required Logs: Zamboni/Olympia Service(s) Log and Ice cut Log Daily
-Report any Ice or Rink related issues to direct Supervisor

-Ability to work in wet, cold and icy environment.

Stuart has dedicated his life to the art of figure skating spending 10 years as a National and International Competitor for Great Britain before turning professional, where he spent 6 years performing in Galas, TV Specials, and Ice Shows around the world.  As an accomplished figure skater with over 24 years of coaching experience, Stuart possesses excellent interpersonal and technical skills.

Come Celebrate National Skating Month at AZ Ice Gilbert!

Throughout the month of January, AZ Ice Gilbert will be offering a Learn to Skate Free Trial Class on: 

Tuesdays at 5:50PM and 6:20PM
Thursdays at 5:50PM and 6:20PM
Saturdays 11:15AM

Learning how to ice skate builds strength, develops confidence and teaches the value of perseverance.

As you begin your journey of learning how to ice skate, you will quickly realize that you are learning so much more than skating skills. You will be infused with the joy of improving every time you try something new. Each time you fall, you will strengthen your confidence to get back up and try again.

This class is a one time free class to try Ice Skating with no obligation. Skaters will receive a 30 minute lesson and rental skates. Please choose ONLY one of the listed dates.
A coach will evaluate each skater and recommend a level.
