Jim began his skating career at the age of three while growing up on the East Coast. Early exposure to hockey fostered his passion for the sport, which he continued after relocating to Arizona. There, he also managed roller hockey programs until sufficient ice facilities became available to meet demand. His professional background includes several years in the Financial Planning Industry with Prudential, followed by co-founding Teamwork Financial, an independent firm. Subsequently, he transitioned into the non-profit sector, where he remained actively engaged in playing and coaching hockey, as well as collaborating on various projects with Jim Rogers.

In 2014, when the opportunity arose to acquire the Peoria and Gilbert rinks, he made the decision to join AZ Ice full time. His initial efforts focused on streamlining operations and increasing revenue to facilitate future major initiatives. In 2020, following the unexpected passing of our founder, Jim Rogers, he assumed responsibility for all aspects of business and operations, a role he has maintained since.

Jim oversees the comprehensive management of three ice rinks, M’s Grill, and Ice House Tavern. His responsibilities include leading all business operations, such as accounting, payroll, human resources, capital improvements, and expenditures. He also sets the strategic vision for the organization and its staff, ensuring continued growth and long-term brand success.

Bob has served as the Youth Hockey Director at the Gilbert rink for the past 15 years, bringing leadership, organization, and a deep passion for the sport to the program. In this role, he oversees all youth hockey initiatives, including Try Hockey for Free, Cubs, Learn to Play, and various youth league programs. Bob is responsible for managing teams and coaches, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that each program runs smoothly while fostering a positive and development-focused environment for players of all skill levels.

With over 50 years of skating experience, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and firsthand expertise to his position. His lifelong involvement in hockey allows him to mentor young athletes effectively, support coaches, and continuously enhance the quality of the rink’s youth programming. His dedication has helped grow participation and cultivate a strong hockey community centered on skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.

Bob grew up in San Jose, Ca before he and his family moved to Arizona in 2005.

Stuart has dedicated his life to the artistry of figure skating. Before turning professional, he spent 10 years as a National and International competitor for Great Britain. His professional career includes six years performing in global galas, TV specials, and elite ice shows. Now an accomplished coach with over 25 years of experience, Stuart combines world-class technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills to help skaters reach their
full potential.

As Figure Skating Director, I am responsible for the growth, profitability, and daily operations of the figure skating department. This includes overseeing the Learn to Skate (LTS) USA curriculum, managing the coaching staff, and serving as the primary liaison between the rink and skating families.

Hockey has always been a central part of Taylor’s life. She grew up as a season ticket holder for the Coyotes and has spent over a decade supporting and cheering on her husband in his involvement with the sport. Now, with both of her children skating and participating in youth programs at AZ Ice Gilbert, joining the AZ Ice family was a natural fit for her.

The Adult Hockey Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a 63-team league, including scheduling and coordinating games across a wide range of age groups and skill levels. This role ensures fair, organized, and efficient league play while supporting teams, managing logistics, and maintaining a positive experience for all participants.
